ANCLOTE SUNSET
The other day I volunteered to pick my granddaughter up from her band competition. I was running a couple minutes early and the bus was running a couple minutes late, so I pulled into Anclote park, (where the mouth of the Anclote River meets the Gulf of Mexico) and witnessed this amazing scene. The light of the Anclote lighthouse off in the distance was just coming on and the beacon started to circle across the water. There was a single set of footprints in the wind blown sand and two rays of light beaming off the sun just as it touched the water, one ray just inches off the water and the other ray going skyward. 5 minutes early or 5 minutes later and I would have never witnessed such a wondrous sight. Yep life is great.
